Fits privacy policy

About this policy

Fits helps you organize clothing items, create outfits, and share your style. This policy explains the information used by the Fits app and Share Fits websites. Fits is operated by Aiden Zepp and Eric Fitz. Contact help@sharefits.com for privacy or support requests.

Information we collect and why

We use your name, username, email or phone number where provided, and sign-in provider identifiers to create your account, authenticate you, and protect access. Phone sign-in sends verification codes by SMS. Apple or Google supplies account identity when you choose that provider. We do not import your Google profile photo automatically.

We store photos you upload, profile details, clothing-item information, owned/wanted choices, outfit information, connected items, retailer links, and sharing settings to provide your closet and fits. We receive support correspondence and content reports when you submit them.

When you request a retailer import, we send the product URL to Firecrawl to extract product information and images. We store the import's results and operational evidence so you can review, save, or retry it. Do not submit retailer URLs containing private credentials or access tokens. This is product extraction, not an AI stylist or a promise that product information is accurate.

Authentication and service operation use request and security information, such as account/session identifiers, IP address, user-agent information, authentication events and activity timestamps. Authentication services may derive approximate country/location from request information. We use this information to operate the service, prevent abuse and investigate errors. We also use activity information for product analytics, such as understanding usage and improving the app.

Our public websites use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for website usage and performance measurement. These browser tools are separate from the native app.

Sharing and service providers

Private content is restricted by server authorization. Content you publish can be opened by people with its shared link in Fits. Publishing a fit may also publish connected private items after your confirmation. People may retain content they have viewed or shared; changing visibility does not erase their copies. Previously issued photo access links can remain usable briefly until they expire.

We use Better Auth Infrastructure for authentication administration and SMS, Apple/Google for optional sign-in, Vercel for hosting and photo storage, Neon for database storage, and Firecrawl for requested retailer imports. Google Workspace handles correspondence sent to our support address. These services process information needed to provide their functions and may operate in countries other than yours. Their own notices also describe their service, security and account processing.

We may disclose information when required by law or to address fraud, security or content concerns. At launch, we do not sell behavioral data.

Retention and account deletion

We retain account information and saved content while needed to provide Fits. Removing an item or fit removes it from your account and public access; associated storage and operational records can remain until account deletion or cleanup.

To request account deletion, contact help@sharefits.com. Where available in your app version, you can also request deletion in Profile settings. We may ask you to verify account ownership. Account deletion removes your active account and related database content, including items, fits and import records, and starts photo deletion. Failed or late photo cleanup is retried.

A limited cleanup record containing the former account identifier, photo paths, import-job identifiers and cleanup-record timestamp is retained to complete and repeat storage cleanup, including uploads finishing after deletion. It currently has no fixed expiration. Reports you submitted are removed with your account; reports submitted by others may remain as moderation evidence. Security/operational logs, support correspondence and provider backups/history may remain under their separate retention processes. Account deletion does not delete content you already shared to another service. We do not promise immediate removal from every backup or third-party system.

Your choices and security

You can edit your profile and content, change publication choices, and choose the photos and retailer links you provide. Contact help@sharefits.com with privacy, access, correction or deletion requests. We use access controls and secure transport to protect information; no service can guarantee absolute security.

Age policy and updates

Fits is for people aged 13 and older and is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact help@sharefits.com so we can investigate and address it. We will update this policy when our practices change. The published page will show its latest revision date.
